Mardi Gras Mother Daughter Dance, Queen of the Mardi Gras
We wanted to make our annual girl scout mother daughter dance special, so we decide to do a raffle. All the girls got a raffle ticket when they entered, for a chance to be queen of the Mardi Gras Dance. Our older girls wore princess crowns and they all got a chance to pick a younger scout to join them. The girls gave the younger scouts crowns to wear too. When the Mardi Gras princess court was all set we picked a name out of the raffle. The queen came up to the microphone and announced "Let Mardi Gras begin". It was so nice to see the older scouts with the younger scouts.
